Yep, you bet. On the first day that "Cash for Clunkers" started, Nancy and I headed down to the Toyota dealer. Mark talked me into a Prius last February, and I have been waiting for the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) to kick in ever since. Our 13-year-old Dodge Dakota Sport, rated at 16 mpg, with 87,000 miles on the odometer seemed like the ideal candidate for the CARS program. Everything went as planned, and two Thursdays ago we drove our 2010 Prius IV home. This hybrid is supposed to get around 50 mpg. After we've driven it a couple thousand miles, I'll let you know.

August 22 is also a milestone date in our family. Our grandson Jackson turns seven today. I'll write more about that next weekend since Jackson's party is scheduled for the 29th. But in the meantime, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jackson from Grandma and Paw Paw.
