The Birthday Girl

This past Wednesday we celebrated Nancy's birthday. Actually the celebration began on Tuesday at the weekly meeting of the Tuesday Stitchers where Nancy was showered with gifts, cards, balloons, and a cake. While she was there, I baked a cake of my own; the one you see above. On Wednesday we had a quiet evening meal at home. I took this picture after dinner and before the ritual blowing out of the candles and the cutting (and eating) of the cake. Happy Birthday, Nancy!

So which birthday is this one, you ask? There is a clue to that number in the picture above. Can you find it? I'll bet Kristy can!

Last weekend Nancy and I joined Nancy's sister Elaine and her husband Karl in Branson, Missouri. We had a great time. I'll tell all about that story at this site in a couple of weeks. Next week is Thanksgiving.

P.S. Now that the picture is in the archive, I'll reveal the birthday clue. The candles form a binary number. Left to right: short, long, followed by six shorts. Or 01000000 binary. That's 64 decimal. I know. "John, get a life!"
