Return to this web site to see a new picture along with an explanation each week!

Winter in Gallitzin

As I said last week, Karl and Elaine brought Nancy's Mom and Aunt Nina with them to Huntsville for a mid-winter visit. There's a nice picture of the whole group in the archive. Karl and Elaine, after a 5-day stay at our home, headed to Florida to soak up some sun and sea. Mom and Nina stayed with us for another week, and then we returned them to Pennsylvania. We just got back a few hours ago.

Back on February 3rd, I showed you an Alabama snowfall. That picture is also in the archive if you missed it. Well it was just a bit different in Gallitzin as you can see from the picture above taken yesterday morning. I snapped this picture of Nancy after we packed the car for our return trip. It had been snowing for 24 hours, the temperature was in the teens, and the wind was blowing up a gale. I'm surprised my camera actually worked.

But the weather couldn't ruin a nice visit with Nancy's family. While they were here last weekend, Mark, Jenny, and the kids drove up from Birmingham. Four generations under one roof. How nice!
