Early in the morning on Christmas Day, Nancy and I drove to Birmingham. On the same day, also early in the morning, Melissa and her family boarded a Southwest flight from Phoenix to Birmingham arriving mid-afternoon. So the whole family came together at Mark's home in Birmingham where Jenny and Nancy prepared a wonderful evening meal that everyone enjoyed. We all spent the night there.

The following morning, we got everyone in one place, put the 10-second timer on the camera, and took this picture. From left to right: Treacey, Melissa, Savannah, John Michael, Nancy, Ian, Mark, Jackson, Jenny, and me. The last time we were all together was at Christmas in 2005. That picture can be found in the archive. We gave John Michael a toy laptop, and he wouldn't allow his picture to be taken unless he was holding it.

Shortly after lunch, Nancy and I headed back to Huntsville with Melissa's family plus Jackson who let us all know that he was staying in Huntsville for seven days. Sometime later today (Saturday) Mark, Jenny, and John Michael will be coming to Huntsville to join in on the fun and games. By the way, if you look really, really close, just a few pixels below Nancy's chin, you'll see the Christmas gift she got from Santa a couple of nights before.
