30 Years Officially Recognized

On February 7, this year, about five weeks before I retired, I quietly celebrated the anniversary of my coming to work at Teledyne Brown Engineering 30 years earlier. Each year, as Christmas approaches, my company recognizes employees who have reached their 5, 10, 15, etc. year anniversary at the annual Service Award Luncheon. Even though I am retired, I was invited to participate this year to be recognized for 30 years of service. The ceremony was this past Friday. So here I am being recognized with a framed citation and a gift card by the company's current President, Rex Geveden. As I think and write about this, it's probably my last official contact with the company where I spent a sizable portion of my life.

I should point out that I went Christmas shopping immediately after leaving the luncheon, and the gift card was put to good use! Would you call that "regifting"? Probably not.
